Gefilte fish
(Quantities for six people)
1lb cooked, flaked white fish
(or 2 tins of tuna).
1 onion
1 carrot
1 large egg
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons cold water
2 tablespoons MATZO MEAL
3 tablespoons finely chopped parsley leaves
salt and pepper to taste.

Put the onion, fish and carrot in a food processor and mince together. Add the egg, oil, matzo meal and parsley and mix until well combined.
Gently form mixture into balls and either steam in a steamer for 20 minutes (or untill cooked) or place on a baking tray and bake for c.30 minutes in a moderate oven.
